With BTO program fully implented, inventory and cycle time reduced, and cost of revenue reduced, means higher profit margin, and cost of
components reduced, i.e CPU,Dram, Sram, connectors, cables, power supply, ...etc as a result of improvement in process technology and
devaluation of Korean Won, Tawanese Yen and Japanese Yen ( lot of wafers were processed in those countries), I did see the total cost of
system continued to be reduced and CPQ's profit margin will continue
to be improved. ACER has done some calculation that even with the PC
sold at $500, the box makers still make good profit.Pls do your own calculation before you make any comment on this thread !!!! |
