Henry and All
There is something peculiar in the action of this stock. I think one or more of the activites are going on.
1- Arbitrage related to ALRI purchase--I know the price of LGND that may be used for completing had a 20 day period to compute the basis for the number of shares. The lower the price, the more shares are needed. Clearly ALRI holders would like a low price to get as much shares as possible. There is a 60 day period for LGND to decide what combination of money and stock they will give to cover the 22$ purchase. There are some savvy holders of ALRI that may have a gimmick in the terms of the purchase who may find it advantageous to drive the price of the stock down.
2- Lilly was to purchase LGND at a price above market-- could someone want to drive the price down to minimze price to be paid.
3-Shorts may be active anticipating a stock sale by LGND to raise money or reasons above.

The above is all theroretical conjecture on my part. The fundamentals are so good we ought to look for reasons the is going down. Thoughts anyone?
