Is the writer accurate, or prone to embellish?

I found the Aunt's quotes and NON-QUOTES,/b>to be of interest...to wit:
non-quote>>
It is too soon to tell whether the cells were helping T.J., Angela Atchison said.
followed by quote>>
“They said it would be about a year before they’ll know if there’s any difference — if it takes,” Angela Atchison said.
The same with the father:
non-quote>>
The family had gotten little information so far from Geron about whether the therapy might be helping, he said.
followed by quote>>
“We don’t know, to be honest. The corporation — they do everything’s that done on him — the research, whether we’re getting the right answer or not getting the right answer. We don’t get to see that,” Timothy Atchison said.
Further contrasted by the fact the father said (quoted above) that they don't get that information, while the aunt (in a non-quote-see above) supposedly said it is too early to tell.
I submit that the aunt doesn't know... and that the writer put that in, for reasons best known to himself....fwiw, IMO,
Best, Savant
PS, the shorts will like that part, most certainly. |
