rather like france

our daughter coconut was conceived in the province of france achamchen.com in 2004

we did france in 2006 and did achamchen.com adventure by barge

our 'coconut' had figured very young that paris is her favorite city and returned in summer 2007 without me

we were together in france last in 2009 and visited with coconut's french cousins and hung out with equal age princess

of laos who has been a friend since first visit. the princess' english-french mom is my wife's friend from college days. my wife is fluent in french and had studied the piano there when younger

when in paris naturally visited the money museum - so beautiful ;0)

also visited the maritime museum and checked out the model ship muiron that used to be in napolean's study

the flagship of napolean's navy was the then largest man of war in the world, l'orient en.wikipedia.org and acted its fatal part in the egyptian adventure and the nile battle en.wikipedia.org - the ship went down in 1798, but without the astutely agile admiral, for it is less fun to have own name carved onto the arch if one did not live to see it

my coconut is of the admiral gantueame's family line lesapn.forumactif.fr who served the monarchy, the first republic, the first empire, and had seen action all over including doing the
american founding fathers a good turn
books.google.com

when choosing between fighting to the death and live to fight another day, the boss and his admiral wisely decided to get real and got on the real frigate muiron in 1799 and headed home

the troops were left behind to fight to the death or surrender, and as was before the days of cnn, the then people of soon-to-be empire just did not know the spin

nothing changed today in another empire

in any case the coconut's forebear saved napolean out of his adventure in egypt by exercise of astute agility, and in the wisely away direction

his descendants, also men of adventure, but also thankfully did not believe in fight to the death and had instead took off to martinique in good time when panic still did some good and eventually prospered in trinidad

so much for history

and so, together with the no less exciting chinese side of the long story yuantsungchen.com (the chinese version of my mom's book was published in hk and launched taiwan in 2009, and on mainland china is 2010. the tv interview show should air in china this month) ...

it had always been that chaos is a gift, crisis partner, volatility friend, lonely path right way, survive to fight another day, panic, panic early, is rational, fear is a survival trait, and naturally, getgold is good :0)
