That must be the only reason. The US lost 600 million bushels of corn due to weather last year. The bread basket of Europe had the second most severe drought in history. A lot of Argentina's crop was down because of heat. Canadian wheat was off as was Australia's. China imported more grain last year and exported none. I guess all that would make the price of food go down.
