Then why do you act the shill?

I don't. I speak for myself, about my own opinions. I'm not expressing the ideas of others, either for free or for pay.

So then, you suffer from Stockholm Syndrome....is that what you are telling us? How else to explain someone who defends those who would hurt him.

You defend the corporation over what's best for your fellow humans.

No I defend what's best for people, whether it hurts or harms specific corporations. For examples of the later, I opposed subsidies and special targeted tax breaks for corporations,

That's doesn't hurt corps. Those are freebies......the icing on the cake. No corp. would die from your concerns.

and I oppose restraint on trade, like government granted monopolies, or import barriers, despite the fact that such things will help some corporations.

There you go.....you're an enabler. You want to allow monopolies which history tells you screws the little guy and allows corps to get very 'fat'. Do you have no imagination? Can you not see the consequences of your ideology?

I just recognize that corporations are not some evil force, or on the whole practically harmful. They provide far more benefit than harm.

Let's see.....the corp, McDonald's, sells food. That's a benefit.....people need food to survive. However, someone went on an exclusive McDonald's diet for 30 days and got very sick. How can that be? McDonald's provides a benefit and harm all in one package? Is that it? McDonald's was so embarrassed by that documentary it started adding salads to its menus. But that enlightenment didn't last long.......now they've come up with the supersized whopper with hamburg, bacon and cheese on a bun. Lots of carbs, fat and sugar on a bun. Yum!

Obesity is the number one health issue for both young and the old in this country. We have one of the shortest lifespans of the first world. And American corps. are major enablers with this health crisis. Do they care? Not so long as the bottom line keeps looking green.

Uh......no one said it was illegal

You called it extortion. Extortion is a crime.

No it isn't. If a company charges $10 for a cup of coffee and someone is willing to pay the price, most people will say its extortion but its not illegal.....not when people have a choice. Extortion is overcharging for a product. It becomes illegal when people have no other choice like with a monopoly.

Hence, Twitter is overcharging the city of SF for the privilege of maintaining a facility in SF. That's called extortion but its not illegal. SF can say no to Twitter's demands.....SF has a choice.....not a good one but still a choice.

It not only isn't a crime in the legal sense, its not a crime in the broader moral sense. Its not some horrible wrong.

Its YOUR free markets in action.

Taxes are not the free market, they are government action.

That's where you're ideology has you completely blinded. Taxes are a necessary part of the free market system because gov't is a necessary part of the free market system.
