I'm a white-metal (except silver..yuk) kind of guy...<G> My first ring (I still have it) is a simple band that I made from a large stainless-steel nut using files and leather (for final shine). My wife and I both have white gold bands. It the old days (when my folks were married) it seemed to be stylish. Now it is difficult to walk into a store and find these items. They usually have to be special ordered, or custom made.
