You make a lot of wrong assumptions, Ten. Do you assume my startups have something to do with software, or even technology? I'll bet you do! OF COURSE I know you'll never get stock options! That's the point! But, you COULD jump to where you WOULD, if you had balls. I had a buddy that was like you, hugging safety. He was a software engineer for the Texas Dept. of Transportation. I offered him jobs, several times, that paid considerably MORE than the State paid, but he liked the state beneifts, retirement, etc. and wouldn't jump. He took early retirement at 29 years, and died of a heart attack six months later. Software engineering is TERRIBLE for your health. Do you get any exercise, other than cosplaying and walking your gay dog?
