Joan, <A lot of things don't make sense these days...sometime in the future we will understand.:-)> I've been holding back from putting on addtional short/put positions because of this apparent lack of sense in the market. This afternoon's close seemed unwarranted given the present situation. I feel entirely out-of-synch with the overall sentiment. The only thing I can ascribe this rally to is scared money flowing in from almost everywhere else squeezing some big short positions that were built up over the last couple weeks. Re: Iraq Saddam may benefit the most from dragging this out for as long as possible. Nothing to lose by holding tight while he maneuvers and positions whatever dirty tricks he may be concealing. I'd put nothing past him. Onward... Mark
