'It’s a big deal. It shows a great deal of leadership."

So what kind of a leader do we need in 2012 to take on Obama?

The answer lies in the events of this past few weeks, especially yesterday, Friday, April 8th.

Who can best Obama? and Reid? and the entire discredited Democratic Party which really showed its true character in the debates leading up to yesterday evening's vote.

The Speaker of the House proved himself to be not only a consumate politician but also a gentleman. He kept his troops in order and focused on the real issues. He provided the Tea Party inspirational direction. He put Reid in his place showing Reid to be the cynical politician that he has been all along. He showed Obama to be the hollow man that most of us have recognized him to be from the very beginning.

And Boehner brought home the bacon. He proved to the country that he knows what is important, what is worth fighting for, when it is necessary to stand one's ground while keeping one's eyes focused on the goal.

The Republicans need a leader who knows how to lead and who has proved himself or herself fully capable of keeping others, all of the others, fully focused on the overall tasks and unswerving in the face of overwhelming odds.

Boehner proved himself to be a man of intelligence and determintaion. He also proved that he knows how to make a broken system (the entire Federal establishment) work.

And he did it by inspiring everyone to persevere to the end without blinking and without compromising on the important principles underlying the arguments and the issues.

And Boehner won when everyone thought that the battle was lost.

Who best to send up against Obama in the REAL test to come in 2012?

Who better than Boehner?

So it's Boehner for President until somebody better comes along. And right now, there's no one better.
