>> Perot ran as a rich guy <<

H. Ross Perot worked for IBM, and started Electronic Data Systems in 1962. He sold EDS to General Motors for Class "E" shares. Eventually, GM spun EDS out and years later HP bought it, in 2008.

A separate company, Perot Systems, was run by his son, Ross Jr. (H. Ross Perot, Jr.). That company sold to Dell in 2009.

Perot ran as a successful multinational businessman who had built his business on outsourcing and argued against NAFTA.
