Ben, You are probably right but it looks to me like they have been trying to get gold to break through $300 for a couple of months now. Even to the point of false alarm CB selling. The fact that it has held is very bullish to me. I believe that when everyone feels sure that the metals are headed down more, such as now, they usually fool us and will move up. I bought 4K more of ALTA today. We still have the Olinghouse news due out soon and ALTA will be profitable agin next year no matter what the metals do. I have sold the rest of my gold stocks (with a tear in my eye) and am holding only ALTA today - and of course my Canadian Juniors - but they are really in the crapper.
