My neighbor behind me is retired from the NSA. Worked in intelligence gathering based out of Italy primarily. We've become good friends during a three-year quest to build the perfect tomato cage. I embarrassed myself last summer by asking what he thought about this issue during a pool party at his house. After laughing and scoffing, he basically said he found it amazing that Americans don't accept that the various agencies have totally vetted any POTUS right down "to the flora in their intestinal tracts."

He wasn't mean about it, but later I felt pretty stupid for even bringing it up. Since then, I always wonder if the birthers think that this doesn't take place or that these agencies don't have the means to know everything there is to know about a person. Or maybe the birthers have addressed this?
