It gets better. Think I found 2 KRands I didn't know about in a short roll of silver. I'd buy a few oz of gold, to get as close to $1K as I could (no Cal sales tax >1K then; 1.5K now) and take the change in silver. If the coins weren't in envelopes, I put them in with the silver dollars. I wonder if I have any more like that.
It gets even better. Gas is $4.19 in town today. I filled up at Safeway, in Willits, for $3.75, minus another 10 cents for the Club Card. Arco's newly remodeled and open station went down to at least 3.73, and SWay across the street matched them. (That was Thurs, and Chevron, on the third corner, was 4.05; L'ville was 4.09 Fri, up from 4.07 Thurs, and, as I said, 4.19 today.) |
