JPMorgan Sees CDMA iPhone Providing Big Boost for Apple (AAPL) (VZ)
7:42 am ET 04/12/2011 - StreetInsider

JPMorgan analyst Mark Moskowitz said Tuesday he sees Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AAPL) CDMA-version of the iPhone on Verizon (NYSE: VZ) plus overseas sales of the device adding revenue of $9 billion in 2012.

Moskowitz detailed Apple's "multi-billion dollar revenue opportunity" with its CDMA iPhone, adding the company should see above-market growth over the next 18-24 months. Apple could see accelerated growth by aggressively penetrating Asia-Pacific and the U.S.

The analysts notes Apple saw four-fold growth in Asia last quarter over the prior year period.

Moskowitz sees Apple selling 10 million iPhones through Verizon in 2012, bringing in revenues of $6 billion.

Shares of Apple are down 1 percent to $330.80 in premarket trade on Tuesday.
