Actually the point is that one must be born in the US. Just being a citizen is not enough.

And I knew that, lol. Sorry for misspeaking.

All those floating questions, including the controversy about his place of birth, may add up to become a real problem.

For which party is the question. Solid Dems will see it as an effort to de-legitimize his Presidency. Solid Reps will never accept any explanation as good enough. It's how that significant number of voters who are independents--who will vote across party lines even if their actual registration is different--will view the steady flow of rumors and lawsuits.

Actually even this won't matter. Economic numbers will count the most during 2012, imo, as well as the different economic roadmaps each side puts forth.
