I totally agree, Nadine. It breaks my heart to see the Democratic party having become obstructionist on debt reduction...the most important issue facing the country, imo. They should have and could have taken the lead, in fact. So much for calling themselves "Progressives". What a joke. FWIW, he can't go centrist, imo. That's become a meangingless statement as the position needed to be staked out from the git-go. I'll be waiting to read who had his ear...how his decisions were shaped. It's not like rising deficits and increasing debt were anything new. Where were the accountants??
