The real point, however, is that tax increases do not constitute any real contribution to solving the problem. ONLY spending cuts will work. When you increase taxes, you diminish economic growth, which effectively quells revenue growth.

When a person reduces their food intake, they can offset the loss of food by reducing their activities. However, there is a point reached where all the reduced activities is of no use and the body begins to lose muscle mass.

Besides, the rich need to pay their fair share. If increased taxes upset them that much, tell them to cut back their financial support of the GOP. The offset should bring them back to even. ;-)
