I hadn't had my small business very long(started 1983) when the Government decided to nearly double the deduction from each employee and double the contribution for each employer for each employee....

As a country, we were sold a bill of goods that this money would be set aside into a "lock box" of sorts and it would grow and compound....THAT was the official story... Wish I could find the actual articles of the time.

Everyone in the country was led to believe that this would ensure there would be money there when we retired.

If someone else can find any, could you please post them?
