If it weren't for the unbalanced nonsense told in school history books about why the war was fought (blaming it mostly on the issue of slavery), a lot of people would realize the South was actually the "good guy" in that one. Sure, the South was wrong on slavery. But the rest of the world eventually got rid of slavery without killing over 600,000 people like the North did (including their own). IMO Lincoln was an all time terrible president.
