Please explain in SOME DETAIL how this is making the case for single payer. I've already explained that medical practices cannot function on the fees set by government payors, particularly in a time of budget crisis.


Because single payer would have the best chance of rebalancing the payments made to service providers so that everyone has a chance at decent health care without the inequities and abnormalities of the patch work we have today. Once again conservatives stand in the way of obvious solutions the rest of the world has long since understood and adopted.
