Well, current speculation on the Oil Drum is that the Saudi's didn't make up Libya's oil because... 1) They can't 2) They won't, possibly because of friendship between da King and Mubarak, and we pissed them off. 3) They won't, cuz they need high prices in order to build a stash to keep the natives from being restless, and to build a renewable infrastructure. or some combo.. Saudi Arabia did not make up for Libyan oil theoildrum.com China might be happy to assume our role over there, too.
