Sam,

I forgot MCLD and TCGI; BFPT will be gone soon into WCOM. Another relevant addition is ADLAC, which has a CLEC subsidiary that tried to go public at a rough time in the market. IIXC and QWST aren't CLECs (=competitive local exchange carrier); they are wholesale long distance fiber networks - no local connection. CTCO looks to be a rump independent local telco, similar to SNG, CTL or GTE. (RCNC looks to be the CLEC part of the old CTEC spinoff.) FRO is a blend of local telco, long distance, and wireless. Neither CTCO or FRO is acting as a CLEC. COLTY is a European CLEC.

Best wishes,
Tiger
