K56Flex is much more popular in Europe than X2. In US the x2 is somewhat more popular. In addition, ASND has more competitionin the US. That's why TNT was selling better at first. The US region has some catching up to do compared to the Europe region. Rockwell virtually tied ASND's hands by demanding that ASND can't use the x2. That is the main reason why ASND can't support both x2 and K56Flex. Only BAY did both, but Rockwell has sued BAY for a breach of the contract. When the std is approved ASND can gain market share from others. Had ASND supported both x2 and k56flex, it could have gained much more market share. CSCO as any new comer will get a finite market share not from COMS but from the k56flex camp for Rockwell forces the exclusive issue. COMS has the x2 security blanket in effect. But this will change when the std is approved. COMS really dropped the ball in the US for it could have done much better in RAC due to the x2 security blanket. ASND is incrementally updating SW on TNT every 3-4 weeks to optimize it. There is no more technical problem that I know of.
