Insider buying. A couple of stories. I remember playing golf in August of 2008. CEO was buying shares of his Nasdaq listed reinsurance company as stock was going down. Now he knew Goldman had sold its stake but he didn't realize the underlying risk with the MBS the company was reinsuring from MBIA and AMBAC. Company is no longer listed and the shares were trading under 50 cents when the listing was pulled. On the Canadian exchange, CEO was buying, but at the same time selling. Insider buys are not always a great indicator.
