You are making progress grasshopper. This is the first time you have acknowledged that additional factors, invisible to you, play a major role in determining which vendor wins a design. Keep in mind, Dell operates under Dell's business model, not the model followed by other companies. As such, just because another vendor used AMD doesn't mean it fit Dell's business model.

Do you seriously think that emails from M. Dell to Barrett/Otellini were saying (paraphrased), "DELL is getting clobbered over our Intel-only policy, what are you going to do?!" are flukes? When Intel could simply present all those other, more Intel-friendly conversations that you propose the existence of to rebut?

Now, they aren't flukes but they are taken in isolation. That email(s) in question was cherry picked by someone with the intention of making Intel look bad. That was their job. You aren't seeing the other 109,999,999 email pages which if Intel cherry picked and presented in isolation could paint an entirely different picture. Why should Intel present a rebuttal in the press? That's infantile behavior. Who does Intel need to convince other than you? Their customers know what happened. AMD does the bad mouthing and the trash talking, not Intel.

Face it: For DELL, the real "cost" of adopting AMD was the redirection of Intel loyalty payments from DELL to DELL's competitors.

You're doing it again. You have no idea what the other factors were but they don't matter anyway because "parts is parts".
