Somehow I missed this one. Wow:
Viscount’s New ABC Software Wins Platinum Award at US Government Security Conference
Viscount Systems (OTC Markets :VSYS), pleased to announce that the company’s new ABC Automated Building Contingency platform won overall honors for Disaster Recovery with a Platinum Award at the GOVSEC Government Security Conference and Tradeshow held March 29-31 in Washington DC. The Govie awards honor outstanding government products in a variety of categories.
“We are very excited to be honored with this Platinum award and it will provide a great deal of credibility in marketing ABC to key Government Agencies,” noted Stephen Pineau, President and CEO of Viscount Systems. “ABC has been in development for several years and is unrelated to our Freedom platform. Contingency plans are usually dependant on documents that are stored locally in binders and ABC provides the first comprehensive platform for clients to manage and host critical facility information on the cloud. Many large organizations have identified this problem and are planning to move their documents to the cloud. ABC is the first product that addresses this issue and based on the leads we have been generating the opportunity is tremendous.”
“ABC also provides consultants, end users and integrators simplified ways to design door and other drawings so we will be selling ABC both as an online billed software package and as an end user hosted software platform for large clients.”
About ABC
ABC Vault is a Cloud based software application for disaster recovery and contingency planning. The purpose of the software is to create an enterprise wide database and relational drawings of every piece of life safety related electronics including door locations in every facility managed by an agency or corporation. The system has two main features.
Firstly, ABC Vault is designed to simply enable users to create as built or schematic drawings of any door object in a facility and permanently store all drawings of all facilities. Creating door drawings involves selecting a type of door or gate from the menu and then applying anything from a simple door knob to security devices such as card readers and exit devices/sensors from the toolbar. The wire and conduit requirements then automatically populate the drawing. The system can also generate a complete bill of materials of all security equipment associated with a site.
Users can add notes to define the make and model of each device, installation dates, and so forth. Notes can also define door construction (glass, wood, steel), surrounding wall construction (drywall, concrete etc.). Notes can also define the room function or occupant.
The second feature allows users to download and store any facility documents that may be required for disaster recovery. This includes fire alarm, HVAC, IT, Plumbing or any other building schematics/drawings. Building and service provider information can also be accessed. Original bid specifications for systems can also be saved for future access should the systems require modifications.
