MSM reviews are meaningless. Most MSM reviewers have been brainwashed to believe in government as savior and trusted friend. Usually they blame the author for praising Capitalism when it's really free markets and individual productive effort that Rand appreciates. That's why I asked if anyone had seen it. Its not showing here yet so I have had no chance to see it myself. I have never seen a movie that was as "good" as the novel it was based upon, but the 2 media types have different strengths.
Rand's praise was for productive individuals who succeeded as a result of production and improved the standard of living for many others, rich and poor. She was not praising people who use government granted powers to increase their wealth and power, eventually controlling government. Banks in particular have been granted the power by government edict to profit without production. Wall Street firms have controlled the business of corporate finance and done so by controlling the regulators and preventing outside competition and innovations. Those innovations could have provided methods of financing for small companies without allowing Wall Street firms more and more control over the small companies. Manipulation of small cap stock prices by Wall Street firms have ruined many small companies and stolen billions from small investors. These parasites have been the cause of much of the widening gap between "rich" and "poor". Rand held these unproductive swindlers in contempt.
