Rising defaults are from underwater mortgages. That market RIP,
and alt-A resets are in full swing, but the latter is likely a minor
factor now, since the prime mortgage market is deep under water.
Not lending coz nobody buying houses? Home equity turned
sharply negative? Transactions in Re market are cash for distressed
