LOL! I'm glad YOU do!

I took early retirement because I figure I better get it whilst the getting is good. Got my first check last month.

The truth is I never thought I'd get anything back. Never in my wildest dreams ever thought I could rely on it in my old age. I just figured SS was just another way to steal from the little guy so the pols could squander and live high on the hog. Glad I came to this conclusion at an early age.

The real tragedy is how many people misunderstood the purpose of SS. Many thought it would provide for them. It was never intended to do that even in the best case scenario. It was only supposed to be an assist.

Maybe the "entitlement" part is everyone bitching about SS not paying enough because they thought they didn't have to do any planning for their retirement, just thought SS would take care of them.

The next thing will be I won't be allowed to get what I paid in back out because I'm too well off even though I paid my fair share.
