This way of thinking implies that anyone who does not buy from Intel will never get back to busines because Intel will punish them being a monopolist. Without second sources OEM can go out of business even faster. This is unfortunately about true, but this is not a free market. With upcoming price cuts the things went too far, and the Intel gegemony must be destroyed using a higher regulatory mechanism. Intel shows all characteristic signs of a monopolistic stagnation: - no visible progress in CPU performance; - products are based on theft of intellectual property; - new products are sitting on hold and are released only as a tool to kill competition; - quality of products is dropping: CPU gets more buggy and buggy; - instead of improving product they give software kludges; - the list goes on ... They want to destroy competition using strong arm tactics and fire sales. If they succeed, expect to pay a flat rate of $2000-$3000 for their next "generation" of products that will be only 20% faster than today, and be always on this leash. Intel's shareholders are a part of this predator company, and of course they will be happy to mock all others, and do anything to defend their philosophy using any possible and impossible lies and excuses. Do not listen to these predators.
