he is 23; he is very rich; he lives in a great 4 br coop in manhattan in a wonderful building -location-view-upset that his grandparents some times come to their place; he is in very good physical condition - he lies and says he doesn't work out - but he goes to gym - he is very short - he can pick me up and throw me; he eats organic, natural, expensive, fresh and junk. when he is on certain medications, he eats an extraordinary amount - he is very depressed. he is better - in that he can get up for school or a job.
his priorities are how he feels, gym, fresh,natural food, sleeping late, not bothering with slightest hurdle.
life is wasted on the young.
often he is with me - and then abruptly has to leave - when he gets a text or whatever at any hour. he video chats - and visits his "friends" (often through groups he attends or websites - people with similar problems - bi-polar, similar drugs, who can be at any distance. he went to some girl in england. he finds out a (i forget - but it sounds nice in american english) is sort of a project. she lives there with her mother. she just wants to stay in bed with him. he would like to sight see a bit - just a short train (metro)to london. then, a few days later her boy friend is coming. the girl and mother think they'll all be there together. my son immediately takes a limo to a luxury hotel in london for the balance of his stay, and sees some shows, etc.
he has jobs - but as non paid volunteer - medical, psychological - and gets offers to work on commission for big companies - sell life insurance or other insurance or explain to consumers how they can make 12%. i guess the economy isn't great for one with a BS in psych and people are taking advantage of the graduates. |
