Oh I don't mind planning things--for instance,
I've been planning to get a decent video
editing solution for at least a decade, ha.

I hadn't even thought about my tuner yet,
I suppose I'll be reviewing ones with cablecards--
for that matter, I need to chat with somebody
at Frontier--we had cable laid out a year ago
and the fliers have been coming in the mail for
a couple months now.

I figure I can save ~$600 a year by dropping the
teevee service and finding cheaper voip for one.
I've been wanting to do this for years, then
the bundle price made me complacent again.
Frugality comes and goes, but the enjoyment
from fiddling with new AV gear is endless fun.

The last time I fooled around with a tuner card
I used our Pentium D and winXP MCE...it wasn't
long after that before I went out and got a
standalone Samsung QAM tuner, and not long after
that I found Comcast shuffles the channel assignments.
