Probably because Q1 is the weakest travel quarter; no big holidays, no summer vacations, much less travel to Europe, etc.

Last year UAL doubled revenues from Q1 to Q4.

Disclosure - was long UAL a while back until I realized it's just an inverse trading toy to the price of oil. Easier just to play the oily stuff directly.
