Peter: I never quite appreciated the amount of spin that goes down on Silicon Investor when either a stock or a sector tanks. I've been monitoring the Ligand thread - my god, what nonsense passes for supposedly objective observation. These people must be desperate to recoup their loses to monitor the bid and asks so closely.
So, who cares, Ariad, Ligand, and other absolutely equivalent intracellular messenger biotechs, are performing poorly at the same time. They will recover equivalently also. My impression, in agreement with yours, Peter, is that Ariad, in the long run, holds significantly greater prospects than Ligand. The brain trust is simply overwhelming. I also view Univec in the same light - a Company with a bright future dragged down by unsubstantiated hype of more visible biotechs.
And for you Ligander's who read this, especially DR. Henry Niman, I will reiterate that I stand by all the posts made on this thread. CW |
