GDP by country en.wikipedia.org Brazil is one seventh the USA. China is less than half USA. Japan = China with a tenth of the population. Germany is fourth with high levels of enviromentalism. There isn't a particularly great shortage of mined materials. The current price rises are more to do with the measuring stick shrinking as financial relativity theory kicks in as the US$ nears the Black Scholes event horizon and the speed of light. The USA is going the way of Zimbabwe unless they do something serious soon. Zimbabwe money became a collector's item. Mqurice
