or I believe imperfectly, hedging my bets, and hope god has a sense of humor (the only position that involves actual choice), LOL! Looks like SI is ready for a theology thread. It may sound funny, but by choosing to create us in His image - as free beings - God gave up the choice of revealing Himself to us. If we had definitive proof of God's existence, there would no longer be any need for an act of faith - of choosing to believe. We would no longer be free. God would be no longer a mystery, but rather a known entity, the Big Boss. Does this imply that "perfect" faith is somehow a departure from true human nature? Just wondering. Bottom line - I'm sure we'll never really know.... :)
