Always perfect recordings

If Comcast had made any effort at all to get
a decent DVR into my hands for a reasonable
price, I'd probably feel quite different.

Right on cue, our main Comcast digital tuner
failed yesterday--I know that sounds far too
coincidental to be true, but it is, I'll take
it as a sign, heh. A comcast rep on the phone
tried to send a signal to the tuner several
times and said it had never updated these
past few years (maybe firmware etc?) and yet it had
worked fairly well the past year, which is as long
as I have had it. Odd. I'll miss the daily show
and tosh.0 on demand, but I'll find them again
on the internet or whatever.

To make a long story short, I took that tuner
and another they'd given me back to Comcast today
and cancelled my digital teevee service.

I've got a couple good books to read and
a 900 page civil war book to finish anyway, ha!

Thanks again for the tip--I actually have used
their website (silicondust) to find channel assignments
but it was a good reminder.
