They are still in denial. They figured out that they have been played by Napoleon Junior and they can't back out. The situation in Libya is a tribal one. As long as the rest of the tribes are backing Qaddafi, there is no way they can win.

Yes, it was odd about the mercenaries rumor, Qaddafi would never bow to the Israelis.

Edit: That is what I am talking about.
