I think that should be obvious. The metric is standard of living, not some arbitrary income level. Because "income" excludes all the government freebies people get and doesn't take into account cost of living.

Simply put, income is not an appropriate metric for comparing people's poverty or lack of it because, as pointed out, even those living at very low income levels in this country are "rich" compared with the poor in other countries.


Isn't that ULTIMATELY what sets you in The Mansion apart from poor kids in Camden, NJ?

I don't even know what that means...


It isn't complicated. Standard or living, NOT income is what makes you, in your Mansion, different from kids in Camden NJ. I don't believe this statement can be made more simple.
