I'm afraid you may be right. Regardless of how unnecessary and wasteful, there isn't one expenditure by the government that doesn't have someone who is going to yell and scream when cuts are proposed. I don't think our government has the political will to deal with this one. Someone, probably the Chinese, are going to have to slap us around to get control of this.
