you don't care how well explained the counter argument is. you don't try to defeat the argument, like a good lawyer would. instead, you ignore the counter argument and party on, saying the exact same thing as you said before, like a broken record. i guess you want to believe that if you say it often enough it will be true, or that we'll believe it's true. no chance of the former, and very little chance of the latter.
