JOel, question,
are I/S budgets going up or down,
are we moving to client server are not
and how are I/S depts redistributing their budgets to cut billions out of one section of their budgets and spend it on PC's, RF data collection, touchscreen, scanners, Internets, intranets, extranets,
groupware, ERP's , relational database management deployments,
CIM automation, telephony, EDI,virtual office, etc etc.
and , another question....how can you continue to comment on what I/S directors are doing when you don't know these basic answers...
okay..what's the answer to the questions above.
Don't get me wrong...futuristic I/S directors aren't in all companies and people make the system not technology...
BUT, let's say you were an accountant. If I was spouting off a bunch of bullsh-- about accounting practices and CPA practices and they were
obviuosly baloney...wouldn't you say something.....
okay, your profession is just as important as mine, but, everything you've said is baloney and not true...

the only thing I'm a fanactic about is SI'ers playing bunk about I/S when it's obvious that they just own a pc and that's it.
I don't say you have to be correct on everything, but..at least name someeeeeeeeeeeeeeee facts.
