>>Saying that 8 million cameras will be sold is one thing. Anyone can pull numbers out of a hat. We won't know for sure until we're there, but don't be suprised of the fact that a $200 premium is enough to turn a whole lot of people off of buying a similar model camera WITHOUT Clique on board. Besides, for $200, Flash cards will be direct competition.<<

Rocky -

So now you're back to saying that there will be no real market for Clik!

I'm confused. I thought you said SyQuest and/or Fuji were going to develop a competing product. Again, why are they going to do that if there's no market?

Not to mention this weirdly obtuse comment about flash cards. Sure, even today, I can get a flash card for 200 bucks. For about 8 MB worth of storage. Let's say that by the time Clik ships, flash is down to 16 or even 32MB for 200 bucks. How does that compete with Clik on price? With click, the drive (external) may be 200 dollars, but additional 40MB disks are only 10 dollars each.

Since it seems as though you are unwilling to do the real math, here's an example for you. This example assumes that 32MB flash cards cost 200 dollars by the time Clik! ships.

1 Flash Card = 32MB = $200

1 Clik! drive (comes with 1 disk) = 40MB = $200

5 Flash Cards = 160MB = $1,000

1 Clik! drive plus 4 additional disks = 200MB = $240

Does this seem like direct competition?
