Agreed.

What we have I think is a long term trend on which is superimposed the short term ("transitory")* inflation caused by too much liquidity.

You probably noticed that he didn't mention liquidity, money, etc.

Michael Burry is doing the right thing, buying well-irrigated, fertile farm-land.

I am waiting on pins and needles for vol. 2 of Grantham's piece, though I think he will simply say the obvious: buy commodities and anything associated with them and hold them for the ultra-long term.

He's right about the US. Except for our lousy leadership and inability to rein in debt and banksters, we are in fabulous shape to deal with the new paradigm.

So is Russia, Canada and Australia.

If I were Chinese, I'd be doing things like buying Ukrainian farm land, mines, and as much of Africa as I could before my reserves become seriously devalued and the price of resources goes up.

*Memo to Bernanke: Life is transitory, everything is.
