Yesterday i was heartened by a story about a first grader, yep a first grader who understands already the conditions about negative numbers in a pass fail system.

Teacher gave the class a number series and ask that they order them from highest to lowest, one first grader turned in a paper that was apparently wrong, so the teacher asked Did you misunderstand the lesson?

Nope, look closer the student said, and the teacher did, only to see that the first grader had put minus signs in front of each number....playful indulgence using controlled folly.

There are those among us who have grown impatient with the lines folks are expected to fall in with...take heart, as the systems own logics are what is on trial.........the evidence is everywhere down to the level of first graders already counterprograming them.
