a renter has the right to say "get off my property"

its called:

quiet enjoyment
The right of a property owner or tenant to enjoy his or her property without interference. Disruption of quiet enjoyment may constitute a legal nuisance. Leases and rental agreements often contain a "covenant of quiet enjoyment," expressly obligating the landlord to ensure that tenants live undisturbed.

as far as "owning you home" goes, you dont own it unless its paid for. if you put a down payment on it - whether its 3% or 25% you're BORROWING the money and "the borrower is servant to lender" ---> you become a servant to the bank(ers).

want to scare a landlord shitless? just let them know that YOU KNOW the law. in their eyes you - tenant - have nothing to lose; they - landlord - have lots to lose.
