I've noticed that the long gas lines at Costco have stopped.

There's no longer a benefit to driving out of the way to get a 15-20 cent break on gas.

What I noticed in 2008 and 2009 was how terribly crowded it became at the supermarket 1-2 miles away as people hunkered down.

As I was driving back from the Supercenter and eating out, I noticed the parking lot at the same supermarket was packed at 8 o'clock at night.
