welll now we know why MultiMedia Group Files for Chapter 11 Protection OMNI MULTIMEDIA GROUP INC. Files for Chapter 11 Protection Nov. 14, 1997, OMNI MultiMedia Group Inc. (AMEX:OMG - news) said the company and its subsidiaries filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western district of Massachusetts. OMG added that it needs to ''restructure its balance sheet in order to attract the necessary capital required to achieve profitability'' and that it ''experienced substantial sales growth during the first two quarters of FY 1998 and this growth is continuing. Quarterly losses have also been reduced significantly.''
