The birthers and other morons will always be with us. I just don't know why the media spends so much time with these fringe crazies.
The amusing thing to anyone who reads the press with half a brain is that if Obama had an (R) after his name, the press would have been baying at the moon demanding the release of all Obama's papers in 2007 and 2008. But since Obama has a (D) after his name and is historic and awesome besides, such natural questions became the province of "birthers" and "fringe crazies". Gotta love our state-run media.
A week after the AP solemnly repeats the words of a government official, "those documents are state government property that can't be released to anyone, even the president himself", the President requests they be released, and presto! it turns out they can so be released and are, within a week. Now, that wasn't so difficult, was it? So why didn't Obama do it 3 years ago, when Hillary Clinton asked for the information? Or is that another "birther" question?
It's easy to laugh at Donald Trump the clown, ha ha. But in a couple of months he got Obama to release what the media failed to ask for, let alone get, over the last four years. Presumably after polls showed that the majority of Americans were beginning to have doubts where Obama was born. I know Obama is laughing in his sleeve, thinking he made Trump look silly. Obama's ego (easily a match for The Donald) doesn't allow him to realize that the whole episode has made HIM look shady and peculiar to at least half of America, including the independents whose vote he needs for reelection. They are asking why Obama spent millions defending lawsuits, and let a Naval flight surgeon be court-martialed and go to jail, rather than release a simple document. |
